Crimestoppers would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few
small steps you can take to help yourself from becoming a crime victim.
Lock all doors and windows in your house. While making plans to leave for
an extended time, remember to arrange for someone to watch over your house
while you are away. Remember to also remove keys and lock the doors on your
vehicle while unattended, even while parked in your driveway. If you have
any information on any crime in Pike County, you are urged to call
Crimestoppers at 217-285-1500. If your tip is used in making an arrest, you
will be eligible for a cash reward.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is
investigating two separate reports of Residential Burglaries located in
rural Griggsville IL. The first report was received on 02/01/10 and the
second report was received on 02/03/10. If you have any information about
either of these two burglaries, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at
217-285-1500. Your call will remain anonymous and if your tip leads to an
arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.

03/01/10
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is
seeking information on the whereabouts of 26 year old Austin W Mooney.
Mooney stands 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has brown hair
and eyes. Mooney’s last known address was Nebo. Mooney is wanted on a
$10,000.00 warrant for Failure to Appear at Pay or Appear on charges
ranging from drugs to traffic. If you know the whereabouts of Mooney you
are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500. Your call will remain
anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a
cash reward.
