The Pike County Sheriff’s Department holds an active warrant on Ted W. Taylor who is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, has brown hair, and green eyes.  Taylor’s last known address was Pittsfield IL.  Taylor’s warrant is for Petition for Revocation of Probation with bond set at $5,000.00.   If you know the whereabouts of Taylor you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500.  Your call will remain anonymous and if your tip is used in the apprehension of a wanted person, you will be eligible for a cash reward.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit and run accident which resulted in property damage on 05/09/09.  The accident took place at the Barry Jiffy Stop at approximately 10:45 AM.  A vehicle described as an older model black Suburban backed into a white car causing damage before leaving the scene.  If you know the identity or whereabouts of the person driving the vehicle or were a witness to the accident and can identify the driver involved, you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500. 

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a theft which occurred in the Rockport area sometime between March 28, 2009 and April 7, 2009.  During the time two Egyptian rugs were removed from a residence.  One rug is described as being 5 foot by 7 foot and is navy in color.  The second rug is described as being 2 foot by 3 foot and is beige in color.   If you have any information pertaining to the rugs or person responsible for taking the rugs, you are urged to call the Pike County Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500.  If your tip is used in making an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.
