The Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Pittsfield
City Police are investigating a report of a stolen white Ford pickup from
the parking lot across from Lindsay’s Tavern. The theft occurred during the
early evening hours on March 12th . The Truck was located north
of Pittsfield along County Highway 3 the same night. If you have any
information regarding this or any other crime in Pike County, you are urged
to call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500. Your call will remain anonymous and
if your tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.

small steps you can take to help yourself from becoming a crime victim.
Lock all doors and windows in your house. While making plans to leave for
an extended time, remember to arrange for someone to watch over your house
while you are away. Remember to also remove keys and lock the doors on your
vehicle while unattended, even while parked in your driveway. If you have
any information on any crime in Pike County, you are urged to call

Fugitive of the Week

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is
seeking information on the whereabouts of 26 year old Austin W Mooney.
Mooney stands 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has brown hair
and eyes. Mooney’s last known address was Nebo. Mooney is wanted on a
$10,000.00 warrant for Failure to Appear at Pay or Appear on charges
ranging from drugs to traffic. If you know the whereabouts of Mooney you
are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500. Your call will remain
anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a
cash reward.
