The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is
investigating a theft of anhydrous ammonia from Two Rivers F/S located in
Milton. The theft occurred between May 7 and May 9. If you have any
information about this or any other crime in Pike County, you are urged to
call Pike County Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500. If your tip leads to an
arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.

Fugitive of the Week
05/23/10
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is
currently seeking the whereabouts of Austin W Mooney who was last known to
reside in Nebo. Mooney, a 26 year old male, is 6 feet 4 inches tall,
weighs 180 pounds, and has brown eyes and hair. Mooney is currently
wanted on two separate Pike County warrants for Failure to Appear. If you
know the exact whereabouts of Mooney you are urged to call Crimestoppers
at 217-285-1500. If your tip is used in making an arrest, you will be
eligible for a cash reward. As always, your call will remain anonymous
without caller ID.

County Crimestoppers General Notice
Crimestoppers would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few
small steps you can take to help yourself from becoming a crime victim.
Lock all doors and windows in your house. While making plans to leave for
an extended time, remember to arrange for someone to watch over your house
while you are away. Remember to also remove keys and lock the doors on your
vehicle while unattended, even while parked in your driveway. If you have
any information on any crime in Pike County, you are urged to call
Crimestoppers at 217-285-1500. If your tip is used in making an arrest, you
will be eligible for a cash reward.
Crime Stoppers holds its monthly meetings at the Pike County Sheriff's
Department on the second Thursday of the month. Crime Stoppers is run by a
Board of Directors, which consists entirely of volunteers from the Crime
Stopper Membership. Crime Stoppers is always looking for new members who
wish to make a difference in their community.
If you would like to become a member of this
organization, call 285-1500 and ask to be sent information. If you have called
Crimestoppers in the past, you may have a reward coming to you. Call and find
out. You must have your confidential Crimestoppers number when you call.
