The
Pike County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a theft of wire from a
cell tower job site located near Maysville. Wire was removed from the job
site sometime during the night of October 21. If you have any information
on this or any other crime in Pike County, you are urged to call Crime
Stoppers at 217-285-1500. If information you provide leads to an arrest,
you will be eligible for a cash reward. As always all calls to Crime
Stoppers are anonymous.

Fugitive of the Week

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department
is seeking the current whereabouts of Jonathan R Wilson, a 23 year old
male standing 5 feet 7 inches tall weighing 110 pounds with brown hair
and brown eyes. Wilson is currently wanted on a $25,000.00 warrant for
Revocation of Probation. If you know the current whereabouts of Wilson
please call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500. Your call will remain
anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a
cash reward.

County Crimestoppers General Notice
Crimestoppers would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few
small steps you can take to help yourself from becoming a crime victim.
Lock all doors and windows in your house. While making plans to leave for
an extended time, remember to arrange for someone to watch over your house
while you are away. Remember to also remove keys and lock the doors on your
vehicle while unattended, even while parked in your driveway. If you have
any information on any crime in Pike County, you are urged to call
Crimestoppers at 217-285-1500. If your tip is used in making an arrest, you
will be eligible for a cash reward.
Crime Stoppers holds its monthly meetings at the Pike County Sheriff's
Department on the second Thursday of the month. Crime Stoppers is run by a
Board of Directors, which consists entirely of volunteers from the Crime
Stopper Membership. Crime Stoppers is always looking for new members who
wish to make a difference in their community.
If you would like to become a member of this
organization, call 285-1500 and ask to be sent information. If you have called
Crimestoppers in the past, you may have a reward coming to you. Call and find
out. You must have your confidential Crimestoppers number when you call.
