Our Mission"Crime Stoppers is a not-for-profit, anti-crime program designed to provide citizens a means to anonymously report criminal activity to the police. Crime Stoppers works because of three elements which are essential to the success of the program: Law Enforcement, the Media and Citizens. The citizens who make up the Board of Directors are primarily responsible for seeing that the program runs properly and that the public understands all of its basic principles. The Board raises funds for rewards and some modest administrative expense, determines the amount of reward to be paid, and makes the payment through one of its members. Members maintain good relations with law enforcement personnel, with the media, and they resolve problems which may arise from time to time. Each county organization is responsible for raising their own funds." State of Illinois Crimestoppers Board. Pike County Crimestoppers is a group of citizens concerned about the well being of our fellow Pike Countians. We are a non profit group dedicated to that apprehension of criminals within our county. Pike County Crimestoppers Crimestoppers would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few small steps you can take to help yourself from becoming a crime victim. Lock all doors and windows in your house. While making plans to leave for an extended time, remember to arrange for someone to watch over your house while you are away. Remember to also remove keys and lock the doors on your vehicle while unattended, even while parked in your driveway. If you have any information on any crime in Pike County, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 217-285-1500. If your tip is used in making an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.
